A NEW WAVE OF JAZZ, curated by Dirk Serries, is not about jazz music, persé, but more about philosophy.  A style, an approach, and a modus operandi in communicating between artists, label, and audience.  A platform for all experiments and sound exchanges between the affiliated musicians on the label, from full-on free improvisation to minimalism.  As much as possible, geographically this is sometimes a challenge, A NEW WAVE OF JAZZ works closely together with the Sunny Side Inc. studio in Anderlecht (Belgium) to realize that unique and audiophile sound for every release.

The catalog exists of several series : the original classic one in that vintage and identical design and the liner notes of Belgian critic and connaisseur Guy Peters, the vinyl editions which focuses on solo performances and recordings in another unified design and as well the liner notes of Guy Peters, the limited tape releases in another minimal design featuring the more abstract/electric and noise in free improvisation and AXIS – a line of more pivotal releases that are being considered the pillars of the label, these releases are accompanied by the photography of Martina Verhoeven.
